At any time of year, a drive from the Santa Fe area to the village of Jemez Springs is a journey through some of the most dramatic scenery Northern New Mexico has to offer.
On Friday, December 8, and Saturday, December 9, the Jemez Historic Site within the village will be lit up with farolitos, making the journey and its culmination even more rewarding.
Tickets to the annual Lights of Gisewa in Jemez Springs offer 30 minutes of access to the lighted site. Visitors are asked not to use tripods or flash photography, and pets are not allowed, with the exception of service animals. — B.S.
