INGRID ROJAS CONTRERAS

Ingrid Rojas Contreras was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. Her debut novel, Fruit of the Drunken Tree, was the silver medal winner in first fiction from the California Book Awards and was a New York Times Editors’ Choice. Her new memoir, The Man Who Could Move Clouds, was published to great critical acclaim and was a finalist for the National Book Award for Nonfiction. Her essays and short stories have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, BuzzFeed, and The Paris Review, among other publications. She is an assistant professor at the University of San Francisco.
