POLLEN AND PETALS FLOAT ON THE WIND, birds sing, and traveling commences as the mutable Gemini season kicks in over Memorial Day weekend. Gemini’s gift is cross-pollination and the ability to lightly share resources with one another to see what can grow.

This Gemini season encourages us to explore new connections and to remember and honor old connections — and the memories of those who’ve gone before on Memorial Day. But like a gentle lilac-scented breeze, the nervy, talkative, broad-spectrum Gemini energy can be both lovely and a shallow or transitory brush across the surface.

Mars in Leo, Pluto in Aquarius, and Jupiter in Taurus all form challenging aspects with one another. That frustrating challenge can add muscle and drive to anything we start but has also stirred up conflict around the globe and calls us to work on our old trigger points or some old conundrum.

This Memorial Day weekend, we can get cranky if there’s no change in routine. If we have a wall to rebuild or ceiling to paint, now is the time with the moon in diligent Virgo as the sun squares responsible Saturn. But don’t just work; take a day trip or putter in the garden and make new connections as Venus sextiles Uranus and brings a creative restlessness.

Picnic on Monday as the sociable Libra moon trines the sun; heal relationships or form new connections and understanding in the neighborhood. Focus returns midweek and calls for a surge of effort to punctuate or complete under a focused Scorpio moon. Stay clear of emotional landmines and focus on manageable challenges instead.

FRIDAY, MAY 26: Work and love relationships need extra attention, purpose, and spark as Venus sextiles Uranus. If our heart is restless, let’s ask for what we are really hungry for before we cause any problems. Tonight, if the long week takes its toll, practice self-care rather than complain.

SATURDAY, MAY 27: Personal work projects compete with a desire to have fun. Take turns with those impulses and enjoy the company while mending fences as the Virgo moon opposes Saturn midday. The conversation buzzes tonight; share from the mind and heart as the moon trines Mercury.

SUNDAY, MAY 28: Uncertainty, confusion, responsibility, and tiredness compete and can leave us feeling stuck or mopey. Do something constructive, then rest and process doubts without sitting in judgment. Let tonight bring a lovely summer’s moment as the moon sextiles Venus. MONDAY, MAY 29: Have a picnic on this social day of the holiday weekend. Don’t make relationship decisions right now, but do decide how to treat one another and model it in all dealings. Let’s begin like we intend to go on.

TUESDAY, MAY 30: Check in with the team or friends and get an overview of the next few steps. The mood is not detail-oriented, but it is openhearted, so build collaboration. Tend the tender shoots of all new possibilities.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 31: Deal with people early on, then choose something to obsess upon productively. Be aware of a problem but keep it in perspective; look for solutions rather than blame. Doubts turn easily into a cranky focus as the Scorpio moon squares Pluto tonight. THURSDAY, JUNE 1: Birds sing, flowers bloom, events are planned, and yet there’s still some swirling discontent as Mars challenges Saturn under a brooding Scorpio moon. Youth challenges age, enthusiasm challenges aching bones; get creative and find a way to meet all needs.
