Febfest 2023: Way Over in Beulah Lan’ is a two-day event, starting with a full-day choral workshop and rehearsal for volunteer singers on Saturday, Feb. 4, and concluding with a concert on Sunday, Feb. 5. The sessions are led by conductor André Thomas, one of America’s preeminent experts in the genre and a recipient of the Robert Shaw Award from the American Choral Directors Association and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Collegiate Choral Organization. The Saturday workshops include “Singing the Negro Spiritual” with Dr. Kathleen Wilson and “Timeless Truths of The Negro Spiritual” with Coro Lux Artistic Director Bradley Ellingboe and Talitha Arnold, pastor of United Church of Santa Fe. Concert 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, 131 Cathedral Pl.
