State Bar of New Mexico holds free legal workshops and live virtual webinars to learn about powers of attorney, advanced care directives, estate planning, long-term care and Medicaid planning. New Mexico Legal Aid provides free legal help in civil cases for New Mexico residents who meet low-income requirements. Apply online at newmexicolegalaid.org or call 833-545-4357 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Senior Citizens Law Office provides free legal advice to people 60 and older living in Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrance and Valencia counties: sclonm.org or 505-265-2300. The office provides services related to healthcare, housing, advance directives, long-term care, consumer support, financial well being and guardianships.
