Nick’s (Robin Lord Taylor) timeline shifts just as Allison and Patty (Annie Murphy, Mary Hollis Inboden) prepare for the big night in a new episode called “Broken.” Meanwhile, Kevin, Neil and Pete (Eric Petersen; Alex Bonifer; Brian Howe, pictured) start a band, but Neil soon grows paranoid that Kevin secretly has other plans when he finds a fertility clinic brochure in the trash. Elsewhere, Tammy (Candice Coke) and Patty get closer.

Men’s basketball makes its first appearance at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, with an American team including Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard and Jayson Tatum beginning its quest for a fourth straight gold medal in a group state game against France. There is also the road race in women’s cycling, plus competitions in swimming, rowing, kayaking/canoeing and water polo.

8 p.m. on CW Wellington Paranormal

While investigating a call from a freaked-out pizza delivery guy who reports he was attacked by a big dog wearing jeans, Minogue and O’Leary (Mike Minogue, Karen O’Leary) soon suspect a werewolf is loose on the streets in the new episode “SheWolf.” In pursuit of the beast, they encounter a young woman named Sheena (guest star Ana Scotney), only belatedly realizing Sheena is the werewolf, not a victim — and she’s fired up for revenge against the ex-boyfriend who gave her “the curse.”

Season 21 of this fascinating docuseries finds host Adam Richman crisscrossing the United States to discover more about some of the incredible machines that continue to power the global economy and improve our daily lives. These are machines that tell the story of inspiration and innovation, built to solve problems and elevate human lives. In the season premiere, “Adventure Machines,” adrenaline runs high when Richman visits the factory where Yamaha makes ATVs, WaveRunners and more. Later, he hosts an inside look at a company built to get people sky-high in paramotors.
