2020-21 STUDENT WITHDRAWALS FROM SFPS

In a May survey, Santa Fe Public Schools counted 615 students who had withdrawn from the district. It reached out to the kids and their families to determine where they went.

According to district data:

◆ 38 percent transferred to another public district or state charter school.

◆ 21 percent transferred to a private school or one run by the federal Bureau of Indian Education.

◆ 14 percent transitioned to home schooling.

◆ 14 percent moved out of state.

◆ 5 percent dropped out.

◆ 3 percent were withdrawn due to absenteeism.

◆ 3 percent moved outside the U.S.

◆ 2 percent enrolled in a vocational or GED program.
