6 p.m. LIFE LIFETIME PRESENTS VARIETY’S POWER OF WOMEN THE COMEDIANS

This new one-hour special honors the trailblazing work of five female powerhouses of comedy: writer, actor and producer Mindy Kaling, multiple Emmy winners Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Maya Rudolph, Screen Actors Guild award winner Sofía Vergara, acclaimed writer and performer Michaela Coel and two-time Emmy-winning “Saturday Night Live” chameleon Kate McKinnon. Each of the honorees will be interviewed by a friend or family member. Additionally, Tina Fey offers a tribute to the life and career of Gilda Radner.

7 p.m. KNME-5 ANTIQUES ROADSHOW

Another celebrity edition of this long-running collectibles series includes musician and committed comic-book collector Ruben Blades, whose personal stash of classic comics includes the first issue of Action Comics, which introduced the character of Superman. Other featured stars in this hour include Blades’ wife, actress-singer Luba Mason, humorist John Hodgman, chef Carla Hall, and author and children’s book illustrator Marc Brown (the “Arthur” series).

7 p.m. HBO THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY

Oscar- and Emmy-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney’s (“Going Clear: Scientology & the Prison of Belief”) two-part documentary, which concludes Tuesday night, is a blazing indictment of the major drug companies and the political operatives and government regulations that enable the over-production, widespread distribution and abuse of synthetic opioids. The film examines how Purdue Pharma, which manufactured the highly addictive drug OxyContin, worked closely with the FDA to get the hugely profitable pain medication released for wider use.
